Why Architecture?

My personal love for art and design has always drove me towards architecture as a passion. The creative freedom this career offers allows for me to express myself and ideas through structure. My personal approach to architecture is greatly influenced by my passion for fishing and the water. I enjoy the unique movements and geometries that water and nature create and how I can use them in my work. Throughout my time studying this path I have translated these organic forms into drawings and models to showcase structures that I am drawn to as they work cohesively with their environments. This portfolio reflects on my exploration and development of form and craftsmanship while also showing my passions for ecological observation, fine art, and architecture design.

Georgia Institute of Technology Pre-College Program

This program offered experience with abstract forms and drawings. As the program progressed, we created multiple design charrettes and worked with multiple scales to draft multiple drawings as well as a three-dimensional model for a pavillion/sculpture design located on campus.

Throughout my time at Georgia Tech I studied how light interacted with the environment and interpreted those interactions on paper and in our models. This program also helped me to develop my craftsmanship and artistic technique for the future.
